ANN ARBOR, Mich. - The Training and Education division of NSF International has earned American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accreditation for its food safety certificate programs for food processing quality professionals, the company announced.
NSF International earned ANSI accreditation for the following courses under Standard Practice for Certificate Programs:
- Prerequisite Programs for Food Safety Systems
- Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) Manager Training
- Advanced HACCP: Validation and Verification
- Principles of Internal Auditing
This ANSI accreditation demonstrates the credibility and quality of these food safety certificate programs, NSF said, adding that the company's instructors have, on average, 20 years of experience in the food industry, possess both scientific and academic backgrounds and have hands-on industry experience.
"Quality professionals who complete these accredited courses are able to demonstrate their ability to actively manage and continuously improve food safety systems that protect consumers, product quality, enhance productivity and provide brand name protection," said Michael Rzendzian, manager of NSF International's Training and Education division.
NSF programs are offered in North America. The company plans to expand the programs to Europe, Asia and Latin America in the coming year, they said. For more information, visit NSF.org or contact NSF's Training and Education team at training@nsf.org or 800/NSF-MARK ext. 5600.
