Maxforce FC Magnum Roach Killer Bait Gel, from Environmental Science, a business unit of Bayer CropScience LP, now has EPA-accepted label directions for control of stored product pests, application into the new Maxforce Refillable Buffet Stations, and a lower application rate for cockroaches. The new label offers effective control of exposed adult stages of stored product beetles, with 17 species added to the label. The bait can be applied in voids, cracks and crevices, behind and under cabinets, and in other difficult-to-reach areas where cockroaches and stored product pests hide, killing multiple pests with one product. The new label also allows use with Maxforce Refillable Buffet Stations, further extending the bait attraction by protecting it from the elements, eliminating bait absorption into porous surfaces, and enabling removal of bait placements if needed. With five times the fipronil, Magnum's lower application rate for maintenance control of cockroaches reduces the label rate and cuts material costs in half, the company said.

Nixalite
www.nixalite.com
Bird Dispersal Hazing Systems from Nixalite repel unwanted birds by creating a light, dry haze of Fog Force bird repellent. Automated and self-contained, the systems produce an environmentally friendly haze to repel avian birds, including products for covering large outdoor areas and public places, as well as a portable system that can be used in remote areas, the company said. Each product, while entirely humane, uses a haze that creates an irritation when inhaled by the birds, causing them to avoid the area. The systems do not need external plumbing, compressors or control units, the company said, adding that the hazing systems can run unattended up to three months at the proper settings, creating a convenient, long-term answer for avian bird control.
