
The Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO) will host a two-day, industry-only course, “Implementing Risk-Based Inspections and Auditing for Retail Food Establishments,” March 3-4 at the Hilton Houston Post Oak by the Galleria in Houston, Texas.
This instructor-led training course is designed to build upon food safety training and further enhance the knowledge, skills and abilities of food safety professionals in conducting risk-based inspections. Course topics include food microbiology, communication techniques, assessing active managerial control (AMC), strategies used to focus inspections and determining corrective actions.
The course is designed for industry food safety professionals, quality assurance managers and third-party food safety auditors who want to understand risk-based inspection concepts and applications taught to regulatory food safety professionals.
