VERNON HILLS, Ill. — Cole-Palmer introduces new portable viscometers that offer ease-of-operation, yet deliver precise viscosity measuring results.
Measuring viscosity is now easier than ever with portable viscometers offering simple operation yet precise results. The VISC Portable Viscometers from Cole-Parmer feature a viscometer control unit, a viscosity chip, and a pipette for a complete system.
Users simply load the pipette with a sample to begin, then insert the pipette into the holder and push the run button. The microfluidic sensor measures viscosity from the drop in pressure that occurs while the sample flows through a small rectangular flow channel. The small channel size requires only a very small sample amount, reducing operational costs. The units also measure sample temperatures via the built-in RTD sensor. Users can save up to eight protocols for future reference. The previous 20 measurements, with date and time stamp, reside in memory for instant recall.
Choose from standard or advanced control units. The advanced model allows for control of the shear rate in continuous increments for greater control when measuring non-Newtonian samples. It also includes software for data analysis.
