LIBERTY, Mo. - Victoria (Tori) Pocius has joined Douglas Products as a field scientist I and is responsible for supporting the Vikane and ProFume gas fumigant brands.
Prior to Douglas Products, Pocius completed extensive postdoctoral research focused on the link between plant defenses, prey quality on well-defended plants and impacts on natural enemy attraction. She received her bachelor of science in biology from Lafayette College; master of arts in ecology, evolution and behavior from the University of Kansas; and Ph.D. in ecology and evolutionary biology from Iowa State University.
Her doctoral research focused on understanding monarch butterfly oviposition preference and survival across nine native milkweed species to expand useful conservation plantings for monarchs and other pollinators in the Midwest.
“Tori is going to be a great addition to the Douglas Products’ research and development team and the sulfuryl fluoride business,” says Heather Kern, commercial leader of the Douglas Products pest management division. “Tori is looking forward to using her knowledge and expertise to provide field support for our growing team.”
