The Northwest Food Processors Association (NWFPA) and five Oregon and SW Washington Worksource partners will host a food and beverage manufacturing job fair on January 13, 9am - 1pm during the annual NW Food & Beverage Manufacturers Expo and Conference, held January 11 to 13, 2016, at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland. More than a dozen regional, food and beverage manufacturing companies and suppliers with job openings will be on hand to meet with job seekers.
"The $16 billion food and beverage industry is the second largest sector in the Northwest manufacturing industry, offering family wage, skilled jobs at all levels," said Dave Klick, NWFPA outreach executive. "This event brings together employers and workforce organizations seeking to fill many positions throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington."
As of this publication, employers and agencies attending the Job Fair include NORPAC Foods, Frito Lay, Franz, Pacific Foods, Kerr Concentrates, Ajinomoto Windsor, Mondelez International (formerly Kraft Foods), Express Employment, Barrett Business Services, Clackamas Workforce Partnership, Workforce Development Council, WorkSource Vancouver, WorkSource Oregon, Work Systems and NWFPA. More are expected to exhibit at the January 13 Job & Career Fair.
