UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Are you a small or medium-sized dairy-foods processor or a business owner considering the addition of value-added dairy-foods processing to your operation? Penn State Extension will offer a free webinar to guide you through the process of preparing for a third-party audit that can benefit your business.
The webinar, “Preparing for a Third-Party Audit,” will take place from noon to 1 p.m. April 9.
Third-party audits are becoming more of a necessity for small companies to sell products into distribution channels, according to organizers. They noted that preparing for an audit takes effort and time, but it is achievable and can help businesses reap financial rewards that come along with increased sales.
In this session, attendees will learn:
- The various types of third-party audits.
- The basic components that are evaluated as part of an audit.
- How a company prepares for an audit.
This webinar also will address the process of being audited and the importance of corrective action to respond to negative audit findings. While the webinar is aimed at dairy foods processors, any food processors that want to expand their market reach with a third-party audit can benefit by attending.
This event is being offered at no charge, but attendees must register by April 9 to access the live webinar. Those who register also will receive a link to watch the recording of the program.
