
Jason Brown has been named manager of the Analytical Chemistry Department at Q Laboratories. Brown will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Chemistry Laboratory including sample flow-through, analyst training, and compliance to industry standards. He will also focus on optimizing the work flow of the laboratory to increase efficiency and minimize turn-around times for testing.
Brown has a B.S. in Chemistry from George Fox University in Newberg, Ore. He previously worked as QC Laboratory Supervisor at Fujimi Corporation in Tualatin, Ore. He is Six Sigma Green Belt Certified by the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
Founded in 1966, Q Laboratories provides microbiology, analytical chemistry, and research & development laboratory services to companies in the food, pet food, and dietary supplement industries. The lab offers a wide range of quality control services for manufacturers and distributors, including pathogen detection, allergen screening, shelf-life determination and nutritional analysis.
