Bayer Announces Extended Label Directions for Maxforce FC Magnum

Label improvements include control of stored product pests, lower application rate, and more

Maxforce FC Magnum Roach Killer Bait Gel, from Environmental Science, a business unit of Bayer CropScience LP, now has EPA-accepted label directions for control of pantry pests, application into the new Maxforce Refillable Buffet Stations, and a new, lower application rate for cockroaches that will save PMPs both time and money.

Maxforce FC Magnum’s new label offers effective control of exposed adult stages of stored product pest beetles, with 17 species added to the label, including dermestid beetles, drugstore beetles, saw-tooth grain beetles, red flour beetles, warehouse beetles and rice weevils. The bait can be applied in voids, cracks and crevices, and behind and under cabinets, and in other difficult-to-reach areas where both cockroaches and stored product pests often hide, killing multiple pests with one product.

The new label also allows the use of Maxforce FC Magnum with Maxforce Refillable Buffet Stations, further extending the attractiveness of bait by protecting it from the elements, eliminating bait absorption into porous surfaces, and enabling removal of bait placements if needed. Now sold separately in boxes of 48, the economical stations are easy to fill and inspect, and are effective for both indoor and outdoor use for cockroaches and ants. Finally, with five times the fipronil, Magnum’s lower application rate for maintenance control of cockroaches reduces the label rate and material costs in half, saving PMPs both time and money. Always read and follow label instructions.
