QA Magazine Advisory Board Member Shawn McBride, of Foah International LLC, is being honored as an extraordinary industry leader by the Specialty Food Association (SFA). SFA recognizes and celebrates extraordinary industry leaders through the SFA Hall of Fame. McBride is one of eight individuals to be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year exemplify the innovation and business acumen of the $140 billion-dollar specialty food industry.
The eight 2019 Inductees, nominated by association members and selected by the SFA’s Recognition Industry Work Group, are:
- Robert and Margaret Garcia, RW Garcia Co., Inc.
- Allison Hooper and Bob Reese, Vermont Creamery
- Shawn McBride, Foah International LLC
- Ahmed Rahim and Reem Hassani, Numi Organic Tea
- Stewart Reich, Hanson Faso Sales and Marketing
“The Hall of Fame honors those who have made a positive impact not just within their own businesses but across the industry,” says Phil Kafarakis, president of the Association. “This year’s nominees have played a key role in shaping the future of food and driving industry growth through bringing the best foods of the world to market.”
These dynamic individuals will be honored at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York on the evening of June 23, 2019 in a special ceremony. Information on each of the Hall of Fame inductees is available on the SFA website.
