Although many cleaning professionals are aware of aqueous ozone cleaning systems, many are not totally sure how to use these systems and on what surfaces they can be used. Because of this, Omaha-based CleanCore Technologies, a manufacturer of aqueous ozone cleaning systems, offers tips and suggestions for the use of aqueous ozone cleaning systems:
- If using a wall-mounted "fill station," as they are often called, the aqueous ozone can be poured directly into a bottle sprayer, and used as you would a traditional cleaning solution.
- Using the fill station, cleaning pros can also fill autoscrubbers and other hard floor-care equipment.
- Aqueous ozone should be mixed with cold water.
- Do not mix aqueous ozone with any other cleaning solutions.
- Aqueous ozone can be used to clean many surfaces including counters, restroom fixtures, floors and walls, glass, and stainless steel.
- While aqueous ozone will work with any cleaning cloth or mop head, microfiber cloths and mop heads are recommended for best results.
- If cleaning a smaller floor area with a mop and bucket, fill the bucket with aqueous ozone from a fill station. Then mop with a clean mop head.
- For cleaning larger floor areas, aqueous ozone can be applied to the floor directly from a "caddy" system, a rolling aqueous ozone system that allows for on-site/on-demand cleaning. From there, the floor can be mopped with a clean microfiber mop, or wet vacuumed.
- Although aqueous ozone is a powerful general purpose cleaner. It is not a disinfectant, but it does have antimicrobial properties.
- It is not necessary to use PPE when working with aqueous ozone, butusing the correct PPE when cleaning is recommended.
