
Laurie is a recognized food safety authority and leader in the field. She served on the National Advisory Committee on Microbiological Criteria for Foods (NACMCF) from 2016-2021, the IAFP Program Committee and the Journal of Food Protection Management Committee. Laurie also chaired the Microbiological Food Safety Committees of the Institute for the Advancement of Food and Nutrition Sciences (IAFNS) and the Grocery Manufacturers Association (Consumer Brands Association).
Laurie’s extensive experience in food microbiology research, development and implementation of food safety programs has been instrumental in securing food safety for everyone.
