The Dannon Company has introduced Dannon Creamery, a brand of pudding- and cheesecake-inspired dairy desserts, giving consumers a dairy dessert option. The line includes five cheesecake-inspired offerings, which have been reinvented using traditional Greek yogurt and topped with fruit sauces, and three puddings, made with Grade A milk.
“This is another example of Dannon leading category growth and it’s not just another flavor or line extension. Dannon Creamery is the launch of a new category within dairy,” said Sergio Fuster, chief marketing officer of The Dannon Company.
Dannon’s parent company, Danone, has tremendous expertise in dairy desserts, and Dannon’s R&D team spent months researching, developing, and testing recipes to create a dessert proposition that is tailored to and satisfies the discerning expectations of Americans.
“We believe, in consultation with our retail customers, now is the time to expand into the dessert category,” Fuster said, adding, “Expanding into the dessert market and evening day part is a necessary next step to continue to grow the dairy category,”
Dannon Creamery offers consumers a twist on desserts so they can enjoy it any day. Dannon Creamery is available nationwide beginning in July, in 5.3 oz. cups, specially designed to evoke the feeling of a dessert bowl (MSRP: $1.69). Dannon Creamery consists of eight dairy desserts, including three puddings: milk chocolate, dark chocolate and vanilla; and five cheesecake-inspired flavors: strawberry, blueberry, cherry, lemon, and caramel.
