The Peanut and Tree Nut Processors Association (PTNPA) will host a post-election report and customized briefing for the nut industry on Tuesday, Dec. 17, at 1 p.m. ET. The webinar will provide an analysis of how the results of the recent federal and state elections will impact the regulatory, legislative and trade landscape for nut processors and suppliers.
Policy expert Tami Jackson Buckner of Michael Best Strategies will provide insights into how the new administration and Congress may approach key issues such as food safety regulations, international trade agreements, tax policy and more. Attendees will receive a report tailored specifically to the nut industry, as well as recommendations for future advocacy and educational efforts and suggested partnerships to assist PTNPA members in navigating potential changes.
“The results of any election have significant implications for how industries are regulated and able to conduct business,” said Jeannie Shaughnessy, CEO, PTNPA. “We have partnered with Michael Best Strategies to provide PTNPA members an exclusive look at how the post-election landscape may impact everything from food safety to taxes to trade. Tami Jackson Buckner and her team of experts are proven professionals with vast experience guiding food associations and companies as we work to understand and prepare for changes in the regulatory and legislative environment.”
The webinar is open exclusively to PTNPA members. For more information about joining the association, visit www.PTNPA.org/Join. To register for the webinar, visit https://www.PTNPA.org.
