As part of Produce Safety University’s Continuing Education Program, the USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) is hosting a live webinar and virtual panel session on Tuesday, Jan. 30, from 3-4:30 p.m. ET.
“PSU: Keeping School Food Safe Starts with Science” will take participants into the laboratory with presentations from produce safety scientists conducting real-world food safety research at the USDA Agricultural Research Service. Participants will hear about cutting-edge ongoing produce safety research and the challenges researchers are seeking to solve.
The webinar will examine how food safety challenges drive research questions and how USDA research is translated into everyday food safety practices in your operations. Following the instructional portion of the webinar, there will be an expert panel of instructors from the in-person Produce Safety University (PSU) program for a Q&A on all topics related to produce quality and safety.
To sign up for the webinar, register here by Friday, Jan. 26. For questions and additional information, contact ProduceSafetyUniversity@usda.gov.
