Inspire with Your Food Safety Success Stories

The Partnership for Food Safety Education (PFSE) wants to showcase the work of "BAC Fighters" — people who teach others about safe food handling — to paint the picture of progress in consumer food safety education.

The Partnership for Food Safety Education (PFSE) wants to showcase the work of "BAC Fighters" – people who teach others about safe food handling – to paint the picture of progress in consumer food safety education.

  • Do you educate consumers on safe food handling?
  • Do you know an unsung hero who works to prevent foodborne illness?
  • Have you shared invaluable food safety knowledge with friends or family members?

Sharing stories of food safety outreach efforts to help others avoid the risk of foodborne illness can inspire others to "up" their food safety game.

As one example, PFSE shared Memphis BAC Fighter Jean Bridges' story of the transformation of "Jeremy." From someone who knew the right answers on a food safety quiz, but didn't put these skills to work, read how Jeremy became a food safety superstar. Read Jean's story here.

Share your own story of someone who changed his or her food safety behaviors for the better, because of your outreach. Share your personal story here.
